Gaming Documentary Evaluation

Image
GAMING DOCUMENTARY EVALUATION STRENGTHS: Montage of all the different games. Use of split screen. Quite a few interviews which back up our hypothesis. Use of tally. Creative editing e.g. our own logo. WEAKNESSES: Lighting; next time either film when there's enough light or use extra lighting.  Split screen, keep the other person out of the shot so the split screen looks more professional. Volume was a bit low. Didn't really explore the different shot types, kept it simple and used normal mid-shot & two shots. Interviews could've been faster and more fun. Overall I had fun making this documentary with Khushbu and Zak. It was a really a good experience, we know our weaknesses so for next time we can reflect on them and try make the project better.

Radio Writing Task Homework

How does the Radio One Breakfast Show  reach it's audience? The Radio One Breakfast Show is a radio show which airs from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM during the week, not airing on the weekends. The show's target audience are 15-29-year-olds. But the show's presenter is actually 32. I feel as if the fact that the presenter is older than the target audience is only to prevent the show from doing immature things etc. By having an older host they'll know what to do and what not to do. Something that I realized is that the Radio One Breakfast show are aware that they do have an older audience listening so to keep the older audience they play older songs at times the younger audience might not be listening for example at 11:30 am they played songs like Genie in a Bottle and Block rockin' beats. The younger audience would not be listening at that time due to the fact that they have school, so no access to radio. But earlier in the show they played popular songs such as Breath

LESSON NOTES regulation = controlling/having rules in place. regulator = someone who sets the rules, maintains the rules, makes sure people are following the rules. an example of a regulator would be Ofcom. Ofcom = regulations communications in the UK.  Ofcom have regulated the BBC since 2013.  They also assess performance, are BBC doing what they want? BBC gets lots of money from the license fee and government so how it is spent is a big deal, so what they do in the BBC needs to be carefully considered otherwise people think it's a waste of money.  So the biggest issue is how the BBC keep the funding? - young audience? - keep up with streaming services?  Livingstone & Lundt have studied FOUR CASE STUDIES of ofcom: Consumers - have wants, are individuals, seek private benefits from the media, use the language of choice, and require regulation to protect against harm Customers - have needs, are social, seek public or social ben
